Flexible halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This flexible JZ-500 HMH control cable is a solution designed for applications requiring high fire resistance and external factors. Made of stranded copper conductors, insulated with a halogen-free polymer, it provides safe and reliable connections in various installations. The cable is particularly recommended where minimizing the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire is a priority.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a careful construction, ensuring long-term and trouble-free operation. Copper conductors, twisted according to VDE 0295 cl. 5 / IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards, guarantee good conductivity and flexibility. Insulation made of halogen-free TI6 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-7 / DIN EN 50363-7) provides a high level of fire safety. Black conductors are permanently marked with white numbers (DIN VDE 0293), which facilitates identification during installation. The outer sheath made of TM7 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-8 / DIN EN 50363-8) protects the cable against mechanical damage and the influence of atmospheric factors.

Applications and installation

The JZ-500 HMH cable finds wide application in mechanical engineering, conveyors and technological lines, in the construction of installations, and in the metallurgical and steel industries. It will work well in both fixed and occasionally movable installations – provided there are no continuous mechanical stresses. Ideal for dry, wet and humid rooms, also for laying on plaster. The minimum bending radius is 12.5 x outer diameter for flexible applications and 4 x outer diameter for fixed installations. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.1 mm for a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm².
