Universal control cable for demanding applications

This halogen-free flexible cable JZ-600 HMH 12G2,5 is a versatile solution for measurement and control installations. It is suitable for both industry – on machines, conveyor belts, production lines – and in buildings, in air conditioning systems or metallurgy. The cable is designed for use in stationary and flexible installations where reliability and safety are important.

Construction and properties for professionals

The cable is made of un-whitened copper strands, insulated with a halogen-free TI6 mixture. The strands are black with white numeric printing for easy identification, and from 3 strands there is a yellow-green protective strand. Twisted strands are surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of TM7 mixture, providing additional protection. Thanks to this, the cable meets stringent standards regarding low flammability and the absence of toxic gas emissions during combustion (LSOH – Low Smoke Halogen Free). The use of halogen-free materials is not only a matter of safety, but also facilitates painting and the absence of cadmium and silicone.

The JZ-600 HMH cable is characterized by high flexibility in the temperature range from -15°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +70°C (for permanent installation). The operating voltage is 0.6/1 kV, and the test voltage is 4000 V. The minimum bending radius is 15x cable diameter for flexible installation and 7.5x diameter for permanent installation. Radiation resistance is up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad).

Safety and compliance with standards

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11. It has passed fire tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3, DIN EN 60332-3-24 and IEC 60332-3-24. It is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant (VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2) and has low corrosivity of fire gases (DIN VDE 0482-754-2 / DIN EN 60754-2 / IEC 60754-2). Additionally, it is halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482-754-1 / DIN EN 60754-1 / IEC 60754-1) and is characterized by low smoke density (DIN VDE 0482 part 1034-1+2 / BS 7622 part 1+2). The product has a CE mark confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.

For optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure a bilateral and extensive contact of the copper braid with cable lugs (e.g. cable glands).
