Flexible halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This flexible JZ-600 HMH control cable is a solution designed for a wide range of applications where high resistance to external factors and safety of use are required. The cable is designed for installations in machines, conveyor belts, production lines, air conditioning systems, as well as in the metallurgical industry. It will work both in stationary and flexible installations.

The cable is distinguished by its construction providing high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Made of high-quality materials, it meets stringent safety standards, including halogen-free properties, which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. Numbered cores facilitate identification and connection, resulting in faster and more precise installation.

Construction and properties

The JZ-600 HMH cable is characterized by a solid construction:

• Cores: Multi-wire, flexible copper cores class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295), providing good conductivity and resistance to bending.
• Insulation: Halogen-free TI6 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-7 / DIN EN 50363-7) guarantees fire safety and minimal emission of toxic substances.
• Core marking: Black cores with white numbers (DIN VDE 0293) facilitate identification of individual conductors during installation.
• Outer jacket: Halogen-free TM7 mixture (DIN VDE 0207-363-8 / DIN EN 50363-8) provides additional protection against mechanical damage and weathering. Jacket color is black (RAL 9005).
• Outer diameter: Approximately 6.6 mm with a core cross-section of 0.5 mm².

The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11, which confirms its high quality and compliance with European standards. Additionally, it has a rated voltage of U 1000V and a test voltage of 4000V.

Applications and operating parameters

The JZ-600 HMH cable performs perfectly in the following conditions:

• Temperature range: Flexibly from -15°C to +70°C, and when laid permanently from -40°C to +70°C – enables operation in difficult environmental conditions.
• Minimum bending radius: Flexibly 15 x cable diameter, and when laid permanently 7.5 x cable diameter – ensures easy installation even in tight spaces.
• Radiation resistance: Up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad) – allows the cable to be used in environments exposed to electromagnetic radiation.
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): For optimal EMC, it is recommended to have a bilateral contact of the copper braid with cable gland clamps.
• Halogen-free: Ensures safety in the event of a fire by minimizing the emission of toxic gases in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-754-1 / DIN EN 60754-1 / IEC 60754-1 standards.
