Universal halogen-free control cable – reliability and safety

This flexible control cable OZ-600 HMH 4x2.5 is a solution designed for a wide range of applications, both in stationary and flexible installations. The cable is distinguished by its high resistance to fire and external factors, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial environments. The construction with four cores of 2.5 mm² cross-section provides adequate performance for various measurement and control applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction ensuring safety and durability. Copper cores are insulated with halogen-free TI6 mixture, which minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire. Black cores are numbered for easy identification, and their parallel twisting ensures optimal electrical properties. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of TM7 mixture, providing additional mechanical and chemical protection. The outer diameter of the cable is 11.2 mm.

The cable meets stringent safety standards, including DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/DIN EN 50525-3-11. The cable is tested for fire resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24), self-extinguishing (VDE 0482-332-1-2) and corrosiveness of fire gases (DIN VDE 0482-754-2). Additionally, it is halogen-free (DIN VDE 0482-754-1) and has low smoke density (DIN VDE 0482 part 1034-1+2).
