This shielded HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI-C control and power cable is a solution for installations where resistance to high temperatures and fire safety are key. Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility and durability. Copper conductors, made in class 5 (multi-strand flexible), are insulated with a special cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, and importantly – halogen-free. The screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in control and automation systems. This braid should have good contact with the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal EMC protection. The whole is surrounded by a durable, also halogen-free outer jacket made of polyolefin copolymer, providing resistance to abrasion, oils and weathering.

The cable meets stringent standards regarding behavior during a fire – it does not spread flames and does not release toxic gases, increasing user safety. Additionally, it is resistant to UV radiation and ozone, allowing it to be used in outdoor installations. High operating temperature (up to +145°C) may allow the use of cables with smaller cross-sections in some situations – it is worth consulting with the installation designer.
