Halogen-free control and power cable, resistant to high temperatures, shielded HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI-C 4x0.5 mm² black, black cores numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 52201
Control and power cable for demanding applications
This shielded HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI-C control and power cable combines flexibility, resistance to extreme temperatures and safety resulting from a halogen-free construction. The cable is designed for use in places where reliability and protection against electromagnetic interference are required. It is ideally suited for both industrial installations and machine construction.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. Made of multi-wire copper conductors (class 5), insulated with a halogen-free polyolefin copolymer, it offers high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The conductors are black, numbered sequentially in white for easy identification. A screen made of tinned copper wires provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in precise control systems. The outer jacket made of cross-linked and halogen-free polyolefin copolymer guarantees resistance to weather conditions, moisture, ozone and UV radiation.
This cable stands out with a wide range of operating temperatures – from -55°C to +145°C (short-term up to +250°C), making it an ideal solution for applications exposed to extreme temperatures. In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The use of electron beam crosslinking technology increases the insulation's resistance to melting even when in contact with a soldering iron at temperatures up to 380°C.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUTHERM® 145 MULTI-C cable is used in:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures
- Heating devices
- Electric machines (thermal class B)
- Distribution boards
- Machine and installation construction
- Street signaling and outdoor installations
Meets the requirements of the following standards:
- DIN VDE 0293-334
- DIN VDE 0482 part 267/EN 50267-2-1/IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free)
- DIN VDE 0482 part 268-1 and 2 / IEC 61034-1/61034-2 / HD 606 / BS 7622 part 1 and 2 (smoke density)
- DIN EN 60332-3-22 / IEC 60332-3-22 (fire test)
The conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm² and four conductors provide sufficient performance for various control and power applications. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.9 mm. The rated voltage is up to 500V for conductors with a cross-section of up to 1mm².
