Data cable, halogen-free – safety and reliability
This DATAFLAMM halogen-free cable is a specialized solution for data transmission, designed for safety and reliability in various applications. This cable is ideal for digital, telephone, control systems and measurement technology installations. Its construction minimizes the risk of fire spreading and the release of toxic gases in the event of a fire, making it particularly important in public buildings, laboratories and shopping centers.
Construction and application
The DATAFLAMM 6x0.14 mm² cable is characterized by a construction that ensures flexibility and durability. It consists of six strands with a cross-section of 0.14 mm², made of unannealed copper. The strands are insulated with polyethylene (PE) and have color identification according to DIN 47100, which makes them easier to distinguish during installation. The cable does not have a screen, which is typical for this type of application. The outer jacket is made of HM2 material in accordance with DIN VDE 0207 part 24, providing resistance to mechanical damage and environmental factors.
This cable works perfectly in dry, wet and humid rooms, and its operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C (flexibly +5°C to +70°C). It is designed for 350V voltage.
Key features and benefits
- Halogen-free: Ensures safety in the event of a fire by preventing the release of corrosive and toxic gases – complies with DIN VDE 0482-754-1, DIN EN 60754-1 and IEC 60754-1 standards.
- Flexibility: Multi-strand flexible strand construction (class 5) makes it easy to lay the cable even in difficult conditions.
- Strand identification: Color-coded strands according to DIN 47100 simplify the installation and servicing process.
- Wide temperature range: The ability to use in a wide range of ambient temperatures (-40°C to +70°C) guarantees reliable operation in various operating conditions.
- Radiation resistance: Radiation resistance up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad) allows the cable to be used in specific industrial environments.
- Compliance with standards: The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B), confirming its high quality and safety of use.
- Metered: Supplied in meter lengths makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.
