Cable features
- High quality
- Halogen-free data transmission cable – safety and reliability
This shielded, halogen-free DATAFLAMM®-C cable is designed for data transmission in signaling, measurement, control, telecommunications and alarm systems. Its construction ensures reliable signal transmission in various environments, and its halogen-free properties increase safety in the event of a fire. This cable is ideal for both professional installers and end-users looking for a safe and efficient data transmission solution.
Construction and application
The DATAFLAMM®-C cable consists of 10 cores with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², made of unannealed copper. The cores are twisted in pairs and surrounded by a polyester foil, which reduces electromagnetic interference. A screen of tinned copper wires provides additional protection of the signal against external interference. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer PVC coating, which provides resistance to mechanical and chemical damage. The cable is metered, which facilitates its installation and use.
The intended use of this cable includes:
- Installations in public buildings, laboratories and warehouses – where high fire resistance and the absence of toxic gas emissions during combustion are required.
- Telecommunication and alarm systems – ensuring reliable signal transmission.
- Numerical control systems – guaranteeing precise operation of devices.
- Connection cables in office equipment – providing a stable data connection.
- Laying on and under plaster in dry, wet and humid places, as well as in brick and concrete - thanks to this, the cable is versatile in application.
Key features and benefits
- Halogen-free: Ensures the safety of people and equipment in the event of a fire by minimizing the emission of toxic gases. Complies with VDE 0482, DIN EN 50267-2-1 and IEC 60754-1 standards.
- Shielding: A braid of tinned copper wires effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission. For optimal EMC, it is recommended to have two-sided contact of the braid with cable lugs (e.g. cable glands).
- Flexibility: Core class 5 (multi-strand flexible) makes it easy to install and lay the cable even in difficult conditions.
- Wide operating temperature range: The possibility of operation at temperatures from -40°C to +70°C guarantees reliable operation in various environmental conditions.
- Durable construction: Unannealed copper cores and high-quality PE insulation ensure long-term cable operation.
- Colored cores: Facilitate the identification of individual wires in accordance with DIN 47100, which streamlines the installation and maintenance process.
- Approximate outer diameter: 9.3 mm makes it easier to select appropriate mounting accessories.
Thanks to these features, the DATAFLAMM®-C cable is a comprehensive solution for a wide range of data transmission applications, combining safety, reliability and ease of installation.
