Halogen-free data cable, shielded J-H(St)H Bd 4x2x0.6 mm grey, color-coded conductors acc. to DIN VDE 0815 34051
Halogen-free shielded data transmission cable
This grey, halogen-free cable is designed for transmitting data and signals in telecommunications installations. The construction with a static screen (St) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference, which is crucial in environments with high levels of interference. The cable meets DIN VDE 0815 standard and is characterized by high fire safety thanks to the use of halogen-free materials. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end customers looking for a reliable and safe cable for data transmission.
Construction and application
The J-H(St)H Bd 4x2x0.6 mm cable consists of eight copper conductors twisted in quads, providing flexibility and ease of installation. The conductors are insulated with halogen-free HI2 component, and the entire cable has a screen made of aluminum foil laminated with plastic. The outer jacket is made of halogen-free, flame-retardant HM2 material. This minimizes the risk of fire spreading and limits the emission of toxic gases during a fire – which is particularly important in public buildings and in places with increased safety requirements.
The cable is used in dry and damp rooms, both in surface and concealed installations. It will work in alarm systems, access control, computer networks and anywhere where high-quality data transmission and fire safety are required. Please note that the cable is not intended for high-current applications or laying in the ground.
Advantages and properties
- Halogen-free: Ensures the safety of people and property in the event of a fire by minimizing the emission of corrosive toxic gases.
- Shielding: Protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI), guaranteeing stable data transmission.
- Flame retardancy: Meets stringent fire safety standards (IEC 60332-1-2), providing a high level of protection.
- Flexibility: The construction with multi-wire conductors makes it easy to lay the cable even in tight spaces.
- Wide temperature range: Allows operation at temperatures from -30°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C (flexible).
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0815 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
- Radiation resistance: Exhibits resistance to radiation up to 100 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad).
- Grey color: Facilitates cable identification in the installation.
