The HELUKAT® 200 LAN cable, manufactured using S-FTP technology, is a solid solution for building computer networks. This cable, with a 4x2xAWG24/1 construction with foam PE insulation and PVC jacket, ensures stable data transmission in demanding environments. It is a universal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for reliable cabling.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a careful construction that affects its parameters and durability. Twisted pairs of wires minimize electromagnetic interference, and aluminum foil shielding further protects the signal. Copper wires, insulated with foam PE, guarantee good conductivity and flexibility. The outer jacket made of PVC provides protection against mechanical damage and the effects of atmospheric factors. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6 mm, which makes it easier to route in various installations.
The cable has 8 conductors arranged in 4 twists, which provides adequate bandwidth for applications requiring data transmission speeds up to 100 MHz (Category 5e). Loop resistance at 185 Ohm/km and mutual capacitance of 48 nF/km ensure high signal quality. This makes the cable ideal for use in Fast Ethernet, Ethernet, ATM155, FDDI or ISDN networks.
Applications and standards
The HELUKAT® 200 cable works perfectly in secondary and tertiary networks. Its construction allows for easy routing even in tight spaces – cable tunnels or platforms. It meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173 and EIA/TIA 568-A standards, which guarantees its compatibility with most network devices. Additionally, the cable is flame retardant (IEC 60332-3), has low smoke density (IEC 61034) and is halogen-free (IEC 60754-2), which increases safety of use.
It is worth remembering the operating temperature range: from -20°C to +60°C after installation (without vibration) and from 0°C to +50°C during installation. The bending radius of 52 mm ensures comfortable work during installation.
