Control and power cable for cable reels – reliability and flexibility in harsh conditions
This black, four-core NSHTÖU 4G6 mm² cable is a robust solution for demanding applications where resistance to mechanical stress and changing environmental conditions is crucial. Designed for use in cable reels, it is perfect for both fixed and mobile installations. Its use in construction, mining, cranes and hoists guarantees safe and efficient power transmission.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for intensive use. Its construction based on copper strands twisted around a carrier element, with GI1 rubber insulation, ensures flexibility and durability. A textile braid protects against twisting, and the outer jacket made of polychloroprene (neoprene) guarantees exceptional resistance to:
- low temperatures (down to -40°C),
- ozone and UV radiation,
- oils, acids, greases and solvents.
Thanks to this, the cable retains its properties even in extreme weather and industrial conditions. It complies with DIN VDE 0250 part 814 and has a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV (maximum 0.7/1.2 kV for alternating current and 0.9/1.8 kV for direct current). The cable has core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308.
Applications and benefits
The NSHTÖU 4G6 mm² cable is the ideal choice for:
- crane and hoist installations: high resistance to longitudinal loads and the ability to repeatedly wind and unwind from a drum.
- construction and industry: resistance to external factors allows use in the open air and in difficult environmental conditions.
- powering mobile devices: flexibility and durability ensure reliable operation even during frequent transport and use.
- mining industry: resistance to aggressive chemicals and mechanical damage.
Additional advantages:
- Resistance to twisting – ensures long-term reliability even with intensive use.
- Wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (flexible) and -35°C to +70°C (stationary).
- Compliance with safety standards – fire reaction class Eca (EN 13501-6).
- Protective conductor – additional protection for the electrical installation.
