Cable chain wire – flexibility and durability in every movement
This metered S.TR-PVC 2x0.14 wire is designed for demanding applications in mechanical engineering, robotics and anywhere that requires exceptional flexibility. Its construction makes it ideal for use in cable trays and moving parts of machines, providing a reliable connection even with frequent bending.
Construction and properties for professionals
The wire stands out with a construction adapted to intensive use. It uses stranded, twisted and finely stranded copper wire (class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295), which translates to high resistance to mechanical fatigue. PVC TI2 insulation (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3) provides good electrical protection and chemical resistance. Twisted wires in parallel with an optimal twist pitch and wrapped with a textile tape minimize the risk of damage during operation. The outer sheath TM2 made of PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1) additionally protects the wire against external factors.
The wire is characterized by a rated voltage of 350V and radiation resistance up to 100 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad). The minimum bending radius is 5x the cable diameter for flexible routing and 3x the diameter for fixed laying. This makes installation quick and easy, and the wire adapts perfectly to dynamic working conditions. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.
Safety and compliance with standards
The wire meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It also has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties, confirmed by tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1. This guarantees the safety of the installation and protection against fire. The wire is oil-resistant and characterized by low adhesion, which facilitates its cleaning and maintenance.
