Cable chain wire – flexibility and durability in every movement
This metered S.TR-PVC 2x0.25 wire is an ideal solution for use in cable trays, especially where high flexibility is required. It will be useful in mechanical engineering, robotics and in moving parts of machines where traditional wires may fail. Its construction ensures reliability and long life, which translates to efficiency and savings.
Construction and properties
The wire has been designed with demanding working conditions in mind. It uses a multi-strand copper wire of class 6, which guarantees high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. TI2 PVC insulation and TM2 outer jacket provide protection against mechanical and chemical factors. Parallel twisted strands with an optimal twist pitch minimize the risk of damage during bending. In addition, the wire is characterized by good resistance to oils and UV radiation.
- Flexibility: Special construction provides exceptional flexibility, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
- Durability: Class 6 multi-strand copper wire guarantees long life and resistance to material fatigue.
- Protection: Insulation and outer jacket made of PVC provide protection against mechanical, chemical and UV radiation.
- Safety: The wire meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
- Chemical resistance: Exhibits resistance to many oils and chemicals (detailed information in the "Technical Information" table).
Technical parameters and scope of application
The S.TR-PVC 2x0.25 wire is designed to operate in a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 350 V and the test voltage is 1500 V. The outer diameter of the wire is approximately 4.2 mm. The minimum bending radius is 5x cable diameter for flexible operation and 3x cable diameter for fixed installation. The wire is available in gray (RAL 7001) and supplied in meter lengths for convenient dispensing during installation. The wire cross-section is 0.25 mm².
