PVC cable for cable conductors, shielded SUPERTRONIC®-C-PVC 25x0.14 mm² grey, coloured cores according to DIN 47100 49630
This cable is designed for demanding applications in cable chains, where flexibility and durability are key. It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, robotics, and moving parts of machines, providing a reliable connection even with frequent bending. The cable's construction guarantees quick installation and a long service life, which translates to cost savings.
Construction and parameters
The S.TR-C-PVC cable is characterized by a construction that provides high mechanical and electrical resistance. It has 25 copper strands twisted into a rope, ensuring high flexibility. Each strand is insulated with special PVC TI2, compliant with DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3, and the strands are colored according to DIN 47100 for easy identification. The whole is surrounded by a tinned copper screen (approx. 85% coverage) to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The outer jacket is made of PVC TM2, compliant with DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1 and is gray (RAL 7001). The cable is supplied in meter lengths.
Application and properties
This cable is perfect for applications requiring resistance to oils and chemicals – detailed information on chemical resistance can be found in the "Technical Information" table. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not interfere with painting. The cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards. Please note that the AWG sizes given are approximate, and the cross-section is given in mm².
The cable has a rated voltage of 350 V, ensuring safe operation in standard installations. The rated strand cross-section is 0.14 mm², making it suitable for applications with moderate current consumption. The strands are made in class 6 (very flexible stranded wire), guaranteeing high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range: from -5°C to +70°C flexibly and from -40°C to +70°C stationary (temporarily up to +105°C). The outer diameter is approximately 9.5 mm, making it easy to route the cable in tight spaces. It has shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and ensure stable signal transmission, as well as an insulation resistance of at least 20 MOhm x km, providing high electrical insulation and safety.
For unusual applications, we recommend consultation to select the appropriate product. Remember to properly connect the copper screen to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
