Cable chain wire – reliability in motion

This shielded 350 V cable, identified as S.TR-C-PVC 4x0.34, is an ideal solution for use in cable carriers, especially where high flexibility and resistance to external factors are required. Designed for intensive use in mechanical engineering, robotics and moving parts of machines, it provides a reliable connection even in the most demanding conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction providing exceptional flexibility thanks to the use of a multi-wire, very flexible core (class 6). The copper cores are insulated with special PVC TI2, which guarantees high resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Twisted cores in parallel with an optimal twist pitch minimize the risk of interference. In addition, a tinned copper screen (approx. 85% coverage) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern control systems. The whole is wrapped in a durable outer sheath made of PVC TM2, resistant to oils and chemicals.

The cable is metered, which makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation. The gray color (RAL 7001) facilitates identification and aesthetics of the system. Made of high-quality materials, it does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.

Operating parameters and compliance with standards

This cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -5°C to +70°C flexibly and from -40°C to +70°C stationary (temporarily up to +105°C). The operating voltage is 350 V, and the test voltage is 1500 V. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible routing and 4 x cable diameter for fixed routing. The insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km, and the coupling resistance max. 250 Ohm/km. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 and has a CE declaration of conformity – confirmation of compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
