Frequency inverter cable – high electromagnetic compatibility
This double-shielded 1kV 2YSLCYK-J TF-EMV-UV-3PLUS cable is a specialized solution for connecting motors to frequency inverters. The 3 PLUS construction, with symmetrical arrangement of cores, minimizes electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable and reliable operation of devices. This cable is ideal for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors.
Construction and properties for professionals
The cable is designed for demanding industrial applications. It is made of stranded copper conductor, class 5, insulated with polyethylene rubber (XLPE). Two shields – aluminum tape and tinned copper braid – provide excellent protection against interference. The PE protective conductor is divided into three and placed externally, further increasing safety. The outer jacket made of polyolefin compound provides resistance to UV radiation and mechanical damage. The cable meets DIN VDE 0250 standard and is compliant with Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC (CE marking).
Applications and benefits in practice
This cable finds application in various industries such as automotive, food, packaging, automation and environmental protection. It will be suitable for SIMOVERT drives, pumps, ventilation, conveyor belts and air conditioning installations. Thanks to the reduced capacitance between cores and screen, and low coupling impedance, the cable minimizes dielectric losses and ensures extended service life. It is resistant to radiation up to 80 x 106 cJ/kg (80 Mrad) making it ideal for harsh working conditions. The flexible construction allows for easy installation even in tight spaces. Minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter for diameters up to 12mm, and above 12mm respectively 15x and 20x cable diameter. Permissible operating temperature is -40°C to +90°C (stationary) and -5°C to +90°C (flexible). Metered cable facilitates precise adjustment of length to installation needs.
