Flexible cable for frequency inverters
This double-shielded 1kV cable, designated 2YSLCYK-J TF-EMV-UV-3PLUS, is specifically designed for connecting motors to frequency inverters. Its construction ensures high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and reliable operation in demanding industrial conditions. The cable is ideal for applications where minimizing interference and ensuring stable device operation are essential.
Construction and properties
The cable features a flexible construction with multi-wire copper conductors class 5, insulated with polyethylene (XLPE). The conductors are twisted concentrically, which improves resistance to interference. Two shields – an aluminum tape and a copper braid – provide effective protection against electromagnetic influence. A durable outer jacket made of PVC guarantees resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. Additionally, the cable is UV-resistant, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors. The 3 PLUS construction (3 current-carrying conductors + 3 grounding conductors) symmetrically arranged improves electromagnetic compatibility characteristics compared to cables with 4 conductors.
A key feature is the use of a special outer jacket made of polyolefin compound, which provides increased resistance to fire propagation. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0250 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EG.
Applications and parameters
The cable is used in the automotive, food, packaging, automation, environmental protection industries, as well as in machines and equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyor belts and air conditioning systems. It is particularly recommended for SIMOVERT drives and other frequency inverters. It can be used in dry and humid environments and outdoors.
The rated voltage of the cable is 1000 V, and the permissible ambient temperature during installation is -5°C to +70°C. During operation, the cable can be operated at a temperature of -40°C to +70°C with fixed installation or -5°C to +70°C with flexible installation. The outer diameter of the cable is 12.3 mm, and the jacket is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter: up to 12mm – 5x diameter; from 12mm to 20mm – 7.5x diameter; above 20mm – 10x diameter. Insulation resistance is minimum 200 MOhm/km, and coupling resistance maximum 250 Ohm/km.
