Power cable for inverters and controllers

This shielded PVC cable, designated TOPFLEX® 600-C-PVC 4G2,5 mm², is a reliable solution for powering devices requiring high resistance to electromagnetic interference. It is suitable for both fixed and flexible installations in dry, wet and humid environments. The cable is designed for applications such as connecting servomotors, frequency inverters and DNC motors.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring durability and safety. It has four copper conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², insulated with PVC and numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 for easy identification. The screen in the form of a copper braid minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial for sensitive electronic devices. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to oils and chemicals, as well as protection against mechanical damage.

• The conductors are made of oxygen-free copper, are stranded and flexible (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295).
• The core insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), providing good electrical insulation and abrasion resistance.
• The screen in the form of a copper braid effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, protecting connected devices.
• The outer jacket made of PVC is resistant to oils, chemicals and mechanical damage.
• Gray color (RAL 7001) makes it easy to identify the cable in the installation.
• The rated voltage is 1000 V, allowing use in a wide range of applications.

Operating parameters and compliance with standards

The TOPFLEX® 600-C-PVC 4G2,5 mm² cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C for fixed installation and from -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0293 and DIN VDE 0295 standards, which guarantees its safety and reliability. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 13.8 mm. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm/km, which provides effective protection against short circuits and overvoltages. To optimize EMC protection, it is recommended to ensure good contact of the shielding braid with the grounding terminals (e.g. using cable glands).
