Flexible power cable for various applications

The JB-500 cable is a flexible power cable designed for medium mechanical loads, ideal for connections requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. Its construction with 18 colored cores facilitates identification and ensures convenience during installation. This cable finds application in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, air conditioning, and in control, signaling, and measurement systems. It is suitable for conveyors and technological lines where reliability and flexibility of connections are essential.

Construction and properties

The JB-500 cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-term and safe operation. Twisted copper cores, made in class 5 (flexible multi-strand), are insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), guaranteeing good electrical insulation and resistance to damage. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides protection against mechanical and chemical factors. Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils and chemicals, expanding its range of applications. The metered cable facilitates precise length adjustment to installation needs. The protective conductor (in versions with a yellow-green core) is located close to the outer jacket for increased safety.

Technical parameters and operating range

The JB-500 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C during installation. The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the core cross-section is 1.5 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 14.8 mm. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-11/DIN EN 50525-2-11, confirming its high quality and safety of use. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting. The PVC used in the cable is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1.
