Flexible cable JB-500 is a reliable solution for electrical connections in demanding conditions. Made of unannealed copper, with 18 cores of 1 mm² cross-section, it ensures safe and efficient power transmission.
Construction and properties
The JB-500 cable is designed for durability and reliability. Its construction includes core insulation made of high-quality PVC (Z 7225), which guarantees good protection against moisture and mechanical damage. The cores are twisted in parallel, and their color scheme complies with the JB/OB color code, making it easier to identify individual wires. The outer jacket made of special PVC (TM2) provides additional protection against abrasion and chemical influences. It is worth noting that the materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The cable is also self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1.
Application and technical parameters
The JB-500 cable finds wide application in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, and air conditioning. It is perfect for control, signaling, and measurement systems, especially in conveyors and technological lines. Thanks to its flexibility, it is ideal for movable connections where tensile stresses do not occur. The cable is intended for laying in dry, damp, and wet rooms (but not outdoors). The rated voltage of the cable is 500V, and the permissible ambient temperature during operation is -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and -15°C to +80°C during installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.9 mm. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, ensuring high signal transmission quality. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4 x cable diameter for fixed laying.
