Universal control cable for demanding applications

This flexible, four-core UL-CSA 600 V cable, designated JZ-602-CY, is a reliable solution for power and control in machines and installations. The cable is designed for a wide range of applications, both for professional installers and end-users, where high resistance to external factors and safe use are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Made of stranded copper wire (class 5), insulated with special PVC TI3, it provides flexibility and easy installation. The cores are marked with numbers for easy identification. Additionally, the cable has a screen of copper wires, which minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in industrial environments. This braid should be properly connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal protection. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer sheath made of PVC YM5, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage.

This cable also features high resistance to mineral and synthetic oils and coolants – confirmed by oil resistance tests. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not interfere with painting. It meets safety requirements regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2, UL VW-1, CSA FT1).

Applications and technical parameters

The JZ-602-CY cable is perfect for dry and damp rooms with medium mechanical load – it is not suitable for laying in the open air. Its versatility makes it applicable in machine construction, industrial installations and wherever flexibility of electrical connections and protection against interference are required.

This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and a core cross-section of 2.5 mm² (equivalent to AWG14). It consists of four cores with an outer diameter of approximately 11.6 mm. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C after installation and from -5°C to +90°C during installation. The core insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the screen is a copper braid. The outer sheath of the cable is gray (RAL 7001).

The cable has UL and CSA AWM I/II A/B Style 2587 approvals and CSA FT1, which guarantees its compliance with the strict safety standards applicable in the North American market.
