This metered TRONIC flexible cable is the ideal solution for applications where flexibility and reliability are paramount. Made from high-quality materials, the cable ensures safe and efficient signal transmission in various conditions. Its construction with 27 colored cores makes identifying individual wires simple and intuitive, significantly facilitating installation and servicing.
Construction and Properties for Professionals
The cable is designed for demanding applications. Copper cores, twisted to ensure flexibility, are insulated with special PVC TI2, meeting DIN VDE 0207-363-3 and DIN EN 50363-3 standards. Wire color coding according to DIN 47100 simplifies identification and minimizes the risk of errors during assembly. The outer sheath made of PVC TM2 protects the cable from mechanical damage and external factors. The cable is oil-resistant and has good chemical properties – detailed information can be found in the “Technical Information” table. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting.
Additionally, the cable features a self-extinguishing and flame-retardant coating, tested according to VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, and IEC 60332-1 standards. This ensures it meets high safety standards. The cable is designed for operation in temperatures from -5°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +80°C (stationary). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter for fixed installation.
Applications and Benefits
The TRONIC cable is perfect for flexible connections in dry, damp, and wet rooms (but not outdoors). It is particularly recommended where a minimum cable outer diameter is required. It finds application in mechanical, electronic, computer engineering, and control systems. Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable is ideal for transmitting control and data signals – however, it is not suitable for high-current applications. It meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
