Flexible cable for indoor applications

This multi-strand TRONIC cable, with a cross-section of 0.14 mm² and 32 cores, is designed for flexible connections in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors). Its construction allows it to be used where a minimum outer diameter is required. It is ideal for use in mechanical, electronic, computer and control systems. The cable is metered and has color-coded cores, making installation and subsequent servicing easier.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction based on twisted copper cores, insulated with special PVC (TI2) compliant with DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3 standards. The cores are color-coded according to DIN 47100, ensuring easy identification. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1) provides additional protection. The cable is resistant to oils and exhibits chemical resistance – detailed information can be found in the “Technical Information” table (available from the manufacturer). The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. It also has self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties, confirmed by VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1 tests.

Parameters and operating range

The cable is designed to operate at a rated voltage of up to 500V. The flexible construction allows operation at temperatures from -5°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration). The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 9.3 mm. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius during installation is 7.5 x the cable diameter, and after permanent laying – 4 x the cable diameter. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
