This flexible PAAR-TRONIC-CY cable, designed for data transmission and control systems, stands out with its high resistance to electromagnetic interference. The construction with twisted pairs and a copper screen ensures a stable signal even in challenging conditions. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0812 and 0814 standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability.

Construction and properties

The cable features a solid construction designed for long-term operation. Copper strands made of twisted wire provide flexibility and resistance to bending. PVC TI2 insulation protects against mechanical damage and weathering. A braided copper screen minimizes electromagnetic interference, and a tinned drain wire facilitates grounding. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 provides additional protection and abrasion resistance.

Application and installation

The PAAR-TRONIC-CY cable is used as a control and signal cable, especially in areas exposed to electromagnetic interference. Twisting the wires in pairs reduces signal attenuation, and the copper screen acts as a grounding function. It is ideal for installation in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors). For optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals, e.g. via cable glands. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 5 x cable diameter for fixed installation. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
