Flat cable – reliable power supply in demanding conditions
This 12-core flat cable with PVC insulation is a versatile solution for applications where flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are important. It is ideal for both industrial installations and conveyor systems or lifts. The cable construction ensures safe and efficient power transmission over a wide temperature range.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors, which guarantees good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. Each conductor is insulated with high-quality PVC, providing effective protection against moisture and damage. The conductors are arranged in parallel, which translates to easy laying and minimal cable thickness – particularly important in tight spaces. Additionally, the presence of a yellow-green protective conductor increases safety. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to abrasion and chemical factors.
The cable is characterized by high resistance to oils and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for harsh industrial conditions. It is also flame retardant, meeting the IEC 60332-1-2 standard. The flexible construction allows for easy routing of cables even in complex systems, and the small bending radius facilitates installation.
Applications and parameters
This cable is primarily used in conveyor systems, lifts, cranes and in mechanical engineering. It will work wherever flexibility, mechanical and chemical resistance and safety are required.
The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the number of cores is 12. The conductor insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), as is the outer coating. The cable maintains flexibility in the temperature range from -5°C to +70°C, and in stationary mode from -40°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius is approximately 10 times the cable thickness, and the jacket color is black (RAL 9005).
Remember to install correctly – cable reels should be transported in an upright position with a collar. When laying cables, it is recommended to start with a smaller cross-section and gradually build up layers to ensure even load distribution.
