Flat cable for industrial and special applications
This flat cable, with PVC insulation, is a reliable solution for a wide range of applications where flexibility, resistance and ease of installation are important. The cable is designed for demanding working conditions, offering high mechanical and chemical resistance. Ideal for conveyor systems, lifts, cranes and in the machine industry.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility and a minimum bending radius. Made of multi-strand copper conductors, insulated with PVC, and the whole is surrounded by a PVC jacket. The conductors are arranged in parallel, which facilitates unwinding and laying the cable. A version with a green-yellow protective conductor (G) is available. Exceptional resistance to oils and chemicals makes the cable perfect for harsh industrial environments. In addition, the materials used in production provide flame retardancy in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2.
Application and operating parameters
This cable is used wherever a flexible and durable electrical installation is required. Thanks to its properties, it is ideally suited for:
- Conveyor systems
- Lifts and cranes
- Machines and industrial equipment
- Temporary installations
- Applications requiring resistance to chemicals
The cable operates in a temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 300/500 V for cross-sections up to 1 mm² and 450/750 V for cross-sections from 1.5 mm². The minimum bending radius is approximately 10 times the cable thickness. It has 18 conductors with PVC insulation. It is important to exercise particular caution when laying cables with a cross-section smaller than 2.5 mm², due to their lower mechanical strength – in such cases, it is recommended to allow an additional safety margin in load calculations.
