Construction and properties ensuring durability
The SOLARFLEX-X cable is characterized by a solid construction. A copper core, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0295 / BS 6360 / IEC 60228, ensures excellent conductivity. The core insulation and outer jacket made of cross-linked polyolefin guarantee high resistance to mechanical damage and weather conditions. Additionally, a single stainless steel V2A braid effectively protects against damage caused by rodents – a problem particularly in outdoor installations. The cable is double insulated and complies with Class II protection, increasing the level of safety.
It is worth noting a number of tests and certificates confirming the high quality of the product: halogen-free (EN 50267, IEC 60754), flame retardant (IEC 60332-1-2), UV/weather resistance (EN 50289-4-17) and ozone resistance (EN 50396). It also meets the requirements of EN 50618 with TÜV 2PfG 190/05.12 and TÜV R60115689 approval.
Technical parameters and scope of application
The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C, and the maximum temperature on the cable can reach +120°C. The nominal AC voltage is 1.0/1.0 kV, and DC 1.5/1.5 kV, while the AC test voltage is 6.5 kV. The minimum bending radius in stationary laying is five times the cable diameter. Thanks to these parameters, the cable is perfect for photovoltaic installations exposed to changing weather conditions and electrical loads. It complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
