High-temperature cable for demanding applications

This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in extreme conditions. Made of silver-plated copper and insulated with FEP fluoropolymer, it ensures reliability and safety in installations exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. This cable finds application both in the construction of switchgear cabinets and in the chemical industry, bakeries, or heating devices.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction with a multi-strand silver-plated copper core (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides good resistance to bending. The FEP (fluoropolymer) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Additionally, this material is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms, ozone, climate change, and exhibits minimal water absorption. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The cable has a dielectric strength of min. 20 kV.

Its chemical resistance allows it to be used in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to aggressive substances – alkalis, acids, oils, or gasoline. The high operating temperature makes it perfect for furnaces, heating devices, and brickworks. Additionally:
