High-temperature cable for demanding applications
This single-core HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in extreme conditions. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and flames, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of industrial and specialized applications. Made of silver-plated copper, it provides reliable conductivity and long-lasting operation.
Construction and properties
The cable has a flexible stranded wire (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides flexibility in hard-to-reach places. The FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures (up to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C) and aggressive chemical substances – alkalis, acids, oils, gasoline, and food products. Additionally, this material is flame retardant, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and completely waterproof. Low water absorption and minimal permeability ensure the preservation of insulating properties even in humid environments.
The cable meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire resistance. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km, and the test voltage is 2500 V.
Applications
The HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y cable is used in:
- Installations and construction of switchboard cabinets in extreme thermal conditions.
- Furnaces, brickworks, and heating devices.
- Kitchen and measuring devices.
- Chemical industry – as a cable resistant to aggressive chemicals and flames.
- Where high radiation resistance is required (up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg).
- Applications requiring high reliability and durability in harsh environmental conditions.
The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4 x cable diameter for stationary bending. The conductor cross-section is 2.5 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 2.8 mm. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V.
