Single-core FEP wire – reliability in extreme conditions

This brown HELUFLON®-FEP-6Y single-core wire with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring high thermal and chemical resistance. Made of silver-plated copper, it provides excellent conductivity and long-lasting reliability even in the most demanding environments. This wire is used both in industrial installations and in the construction of switchboard cabinets, where standard cabling fails.

Construction and properties

The wire is characterized by an advanced construction using FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation. This innovative insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C) – and to aggressive chemicals such as alkalis, acids, oils and gasoline. The core made of silver-plated copper provides not only excellent electrical conductivity but also increases resistance to corrosion. The wire has a core class of 5, which means it is a flexible stranded core – easy to install and adapting to the shape of the installation. Its outer diameter is approximately 2.8 mm.

The minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter for stationary installation and 10x the cable diameter for flexible installation, making it easy to install even in tight spaces.
