Single-core PVC wire – a reliable solution for various applications

This single wire with PVC insulation is a versatile element, widely used in electrical installations. Made of multi-strand, flexible class 5 wire, it provides flexibility and ease of installation. The wire is ideal for use in control cabinets, switchboards and automation devices where reliability and resistance to standard working conditions are required.

Construction and properties

The wire is characterized by a single, whitened copper core twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards. The insulation is made of special PVC YI3, meeting the requirements of DIN VDE 0812. The insulating material does not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The wire has been tested for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 (method B).

Parameters and scope of applications

The wire has a rated voltage U0 of 500 V and a rated voltage U of 300 V. The rated cross-section of the core is 1.5 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 2.8 mm. The wire is designed to operate in a temperature range from -30°C to +80°C in stationary mode and from -5°C to +70°C in flexible mode. It should be remembered that the wire is not suitable for high-current installations or outdoor use. Its insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km, and the minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter.
