Single-core PVC cable – a reliable connection in electrical installations

This single-conductor cable with a copper core, stranded according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards, is a universal solution for a wide range of electrical applications. Made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides good insulation and durability. The cable is particularly useful in DC installations, control cabinets, switchgear and automation devices.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a flexible construction thanks to the multi-wire, flexible class 5 core. Insulation made of special PVC YI3, compliant with DIN VDE 0812, guarantees safe use and resistance to mechanical damage. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. In addition, the PVC is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, as confirmed by tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.

The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -30°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -5°C to +70°C during flexible operation. The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km, and the test voltage for cross-sections of 0.14 mm² is 1200 V, and for 0.25 – 1.50 mm² – 2500 V. The minimum bending radius is 4x the cable diameter.

Applications and parameters

The H05V-K cable with a cross-section of 1 mm² in dark blue color is ideal for applications requiring flexibility and reliable connections. The rated voltage U/U0 is 300/500 V for cross-sections below 0.5mm² and 900V/500V for larger cross-sections (up to 1.5mm²). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 1.5 mm, and its weight is only 4 kg per kilometer. The cable is supplied on spools, which facilitates its storage and installation.
