This single-core PVC cable H05V-U is a reliable solution for wiring in electrical installations. It is characterized by flexibility and durability, making it ideal for both installation work and connections inside devices. The cable is available in red, which makes it easier to identify in the installation.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of a single-wire copper core, surrounded by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. This construction provides good resistance to mechanical damage and external factors. The core with a cross-section of 1 mm² allows for safe transmission of current in various applications. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V, which means that the cable is suitable for installations with a working voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC to ground. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.55 mm.

Application and installation

The H05V-U cable is widely used in wiring:

• Internal installations (in pipes, on and under plaster, in closed cable trays)

Important: The cable should not be laid directly in gutters, ladders or cable corridors. The minimum bending radius during laying is 8 mm for cables with a diameter below 8 mm, and above – 5x or 6x the cable diameter, respectively. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible). The materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, guaranteeing safe use. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3 standards. It also has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive.
