Installation wire and its application

Single-core H07V-K wire with PVC insulation is a versatile element with a wide range of applications in electrical installations. It is suitable for laying in pipes, under and on plaster, as well as in closed cable ducts. Its construction allows for safe use in wiring devices, switchboards and lighting. This wire is designed to operate at a working voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC to earth.

This red wire with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is made of multi-strand, flexible core class 5, which facilitates installation and ensures flexibility. The insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) guarantees good protection against mechanical damage and external factors. The wire meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3, which confirms its high quality and safety of use.

Technical characteristics and operating range

The H07V-K wire is characterized by a rated voltage U0/U of 300/750 V. Its approximate outer diameter is 3.15 mm. Thanks to its flexible construction, it can be used in a wide range of temperatures – from -30°C to +80°C for stationary operation and from -5°C to +70°C for flexible operation. The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The minimum bending radius for stationary cables is ≤ 8mm for cables with a diameter below 8 mm and accordingly more for larger diameters.

It is worth noting the resistance to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad), which makes it suitable for use in environments exposed to radiation. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The wire has been tested for self-extinguishing and flame retardancy in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
