Single-core PVC cable, UV resistant LgY-UV 1G10 mm² yellow-green 18049449
LgY-UV cable is a flexible solution for grounding connections in outdoor installations. Made of copper with UV-resistant PVC insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in harsh weather conditions. The cable is designed to operate in temperatures from -30°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible), making it versatile in application.
Construction and application
The single-core LgY-UV cable is designed according to EN 50525-2-31 / PN-EN 50525-2-31. Its construction is based on a multi-strand, flexible copper core of class 5 (according to IEC 60228/PN-EN 60228) surrounded by special yellow-green PVC insulation – which facilitates identification as a protective conductor. The application of this cable includes primarily connections to ground (earthing) of electrical installations and devices operating outdoors. However, it should not be laid directly in gutters, ladders or cable trays.
Properties and safety
The cable is characterized by high resistance to UV radiation, which guarantees its durability and unchanged properties even with prolonged exposure to sunlight. It also has a fire resistance certificate according to EN 60332-1-2 / PN-EN 60332-1-2. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The rated voltage U/U0 is 450/750 V, and the test voltage is 2500 V. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4xØ cable, for diameters from 8 to 12 mm – 5xØ cable, and above 12 mm – 6xØ cable. The core cross-section is 10 mm², and its approximate outer diameter is 6.7 mm. The weight of one meter of cable is approximately 0.1182 kg.
