Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications
This single-core PVC cable, designated FIVENORM H05V2-K, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both export installations and demanding industrial applications, such as machine tools, and inside distribution boards and electrical devices. Its construction and approvals allow for economical inventory management and simplified specifications.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for reliability and durability. Made of stranded copper wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), insulated with special TI3 PVC, it provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The insulation meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, guaranteeing safe use. Importantly, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting – this is important for many industrial applications.
The cable is characterized by a wide range of operating temperatures: flexible from +5°C to +90°C, stationary from -40°C to +90°C, and in the case of UL (AWM) approvals even up to +105°C (AWM) or +90°C (MTW) and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²) or 450/750 V (≥ 1.5 mm²), and the test voltage is 2000 V (for 0.5 mm² - 5 kV; ≥ 0.75 mm² - 6 kV). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter and ranges from 4x to 6x the cable diameter.
Compliance with standards and versatility
This cable stands out from the competition thanks to its compliance with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31/UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. It also has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals. This means it can be used in different countries and industries without the need for additional certifications. The cable has passed flame propagation tests in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2 and UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards. The product is compliant with LVD 2014/35/EU – marked with the CE symbol.
