Universal connection cable with multiple approvals

This blue, single-core H05V2-K cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm²/AWG22 is a versatile solution for internal wiring of electrical devices and distribution boards. Its construction and approvals make it particularly useful in export applications, including machine tools. Compliance with five standards (HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM, CSA-Equipment-wire) simplifies inventory management and documentation.

Flexibility and range of applications

This cable is characterized by flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C for stationary operation and from +5°C to +90°C for flexible operation. This makes it suitable for various environmental conditions. The rated voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²), ensuring safe use in typical installations. The test voltage is 2000V, and even 6kV for cables with a cross-section ≥ 0.75 mm².

Construction and materials

The cable is made of stranded bare copper conductor (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and class 43 according to UL-Std. 1581). The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that hinder painting – which is important when mounting in industrial environments. Additionally, the cable meets the requirements for flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter and ranges from 4x to 6x the cable diameter.

Standards and compliance

The cable meets the requirements of standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL Std. 1063 and CSA TEW and CSA AWM I A/B. It has a CE marking confirming compliance with the LVD 2014/35/EU directive. It is worth remembering that cross-sections above 35 mm² are made of heat-resistant PVC type TI3. Cross-sections up to 1 mm² are marked as H05V2-K, and from 1.5 mm² to 35 mm² as H07V2-K. Available colors include a wide range of solid colors and two-color combinations.
