Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This single-core PVC cable, designated FIVENORM H05V2-K, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It meets as many as five standards – DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL and CSA – making it an ideal choice for both installers working in international markets and end-users looking for a reliable and universal cable. Flexibility and operating temperature range

The cable is characterized by flexibility over a wide temperature range. It can be operated at a temperature of +5°C to +90°C in flexible operation and from -40°C to +90°C in stationary operation. Thanks to UL (AWM and MTW) and CSA (TEW) certifications, this cable can be safely used in applications requiring higher thermal resistance – even up to +105°C (UL AWM and CSA TEW) or +125V DC (UL AWM). This ensures operation in various environmental conditions.

Construction and compliance with standards

The cable is made of multi-wire copper core (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295) and TI3 type special PVC insulation. This insulation meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207-363-3, DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581. In addition, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The cable has passed flame propagation tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1-2, UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards. The CE mark confirms compliance with LVD Directive 2014/35/EU. The test voltage for this cable is 2000V, and for a cross-section of 0.5 mm² even 5 kV. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm – respectively 5x or 6x the cable diameter.
