Universal cable for many applications
This single-core PVC cable, designated as FIVENORM H05V2-K 1/AWG18, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electrical appliances, as well as distribution boards. Its construction and approvals make it particularly attractive for installers working in export markets.
Compliance with standards and a wide range of applications
The cable is distinguished by its compliance with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Such broad acceptance allows it to be used in a variety of applications – from wiring machines and equipment, to installations inside buildings. Thanks to HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals, it simplifies the bill of materials and reduces storage costs.
Construction and user parameters
The cable has a multi-strand copper conductor, class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special TI3 PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H). Its outer diameter is 2.8 mm with a cross-section of 1 mm²/AWG18. The cable is flexible in the temperature range of +5°C to +90°C (stationary from –40°C to +90°C; UL AWM up to +105°C; UL MTW up to +90°C; CSA TEW up to +105°C). The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1mm²) and the test voltage is 2kV for cross-sections up to 0.5mm² and 6kV for cross-sections ≥ 0.75mm². The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter of less than or equal to 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm – respectively 5x or 6x the cable diameter. The cable is available in dark blue (RAL 5010). The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. In addition, the cable meets the requirements for flame propagation resistance according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2/UL VW-1 and CSA FT1.
