Universal connection cable for wide application

Construction and compliance with standards

The cable is designed and manufactured in accordance with many standards, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. It meets the requirements of: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015), as well as CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Thanks to this, it can be used in various applications and countries. The core is made of un-tinned, stranded copper class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), which ensures its flexibility and good conductivity. The PVC insulation of type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H) provides good mechanical and electrical protection.

Parameters and operating range

The cable has a nominal cross-section of 0.5 mm² and an approximate outer diameter of 2.7 mm. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V / 500 V (up to a cross-section of 1 mm²). It can operate in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C in stationary mode and from +5°C to +90°C in flexible mode (UL AWM up to +105°C). The test voltage is from 2 kV to 5 kV depending on the core cross-section. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x cable diameter, above 8 mm – respectively: for cables with a diameter of 8 to 12 mm – 5x cable diameter and above 12 mm – 6x cable diameter. The cable has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals, which simplifies warehouse management and the bill of materials.
