This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 0.5/AWG22, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electrical devices. Its construction and approvals make it particularly attractive for installers working in international markets.

Construction and compliance with standards

The cable is distinguished by its compliance with five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and 1015), and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. This guarantees its quality and safety of use. Made of multi-strand copper wire class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special TI3 PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581), it provides a reliable electrical connection. Additionally, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting – which is important in many industrial applications.

Application and benefits

This cable is primarily used inside electrical devices and in the wiring of distribution boards. Thanks to HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals, it simplifies inventory management and the bill of materials – especially when exporting products or working with different standards. A wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +90°C (flexibly from +5°C) – allows its use in various environmental conditions. Please note the voltage limitations depending on the wire thickness: H05V2-K up to 1 mm² - 300/500V and UL (AWM) - 1000V AC / 1250V DC; UL (MTW) - 600V; CSA (TEW) - 600V. The cable is also characterized by good flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1).
