Highly versatile cable.
Universal connection cable meeting the requirements of many standards
This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 0.5/AWG22, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. Its construction and approvals make it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable conductor. This cable is primarily distinguished by its compliance with as many as five standards – DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL and CSA – which guarantees its safety and high quality of workmanship.
Wide range of applications and compliance with standards
The cable finds application in distribution boards, electrical devices and machine tools. Its versatility results from a wide range of approvals: HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire. This simplifies the parts list and reduces storage costs. The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from +5°C to +90°C (flexible and stationary), and in the case of UL and CSA approvals even up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²), and the test voltage is 2000V (5kV for 0.5mm²). A transparent coating facilitates the identification of cores.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that ensures flexibility and durability. The un-tinned, stranded copper conductor class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) is insulated with special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581). The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. In addition, the cable meets the requirements for vertical flame propagation resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter up to 8 mm it is 4xØ cable, above 8 mm respectively: 5xØ or 6xØ cable.
