Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This single-core PVC cable, compliant with as many as five standards (DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL, CSA), is a versatile solution for both professional installers and end-users. The FIVENORM H05V2-K cable is particularly valued in the machine tool industry, but it is also perfect for internal wiring of distribution boards and electrical devices. Its construction and approvals allow for economical storage and simplification of the parts list.

Flexibility and operating temperature range

The cable is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates its installation and routing in tight spaces. It can be operated over a wide temperature range: from +5°C to +90°C in flexible operation and from –40°C to +90°C in stationary operation. For applications requiring higher thermal resistance (UL AWM, UL MTW, CSA TEW), even wider temperature ranges are permitted.

Safety and compliance with standards

The safety of use is confirmed by numerous approvals and tests. The cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2 / UL VW-1 / CSA FT1). The test voltage is 2000V, and for cross-sections of 0.5 mm² even 5 kV. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting. The cable has a CE marking confirming compliance with the LVD 2014/35/EU directive.

Construction and parameters

The core is made of multi-strand, un-tinned copper class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The insulation is made of special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and class 43 according to UL-Std. 1581 / CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 cl. H), guaranteeing good electrical insulation and mechanical resistance. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter up to 8 mm it is 4xØ cable, above 8 mm respectively: 5xØ or 6xØ cable. The available color scheme includes a wide selection of solid colors and two-color combinations – including turquoise, which distinguishes this particular model.
