Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This flexible single-core cable with PVC insulation, manufactured in accordance with as many as five standards (DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL, CSA), is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users. Designed for versatility, it is suitable for internal wiring of distribution boards, electrical devices and machine tools. Its construction and approvals allow for economical storage and simplification of the parts list.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), which ensures good flexibility and easy installation. The insulation is made of special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3, UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H) guarantees safety and durability. The cable is available in a wide range of colors – both solid colors (black, blue, brown and others), as well as two-color combinations. Transparent coloring is available only for the 05V2-K designation.

It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures: flexible from +5°C to +90°C, stationary from -40°C to +90°C, and in the case of UL (AWM) approvals even up to +105°C and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²) and 450/750 V (≥ 1.5 mm²), and the test voltage is 2000 V (for 0.5 mm² - 5 kV; ≥ 0.75 mm² - 6 kV). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4xØ cable, above 8-12 mm – 5xØ cable, and above 12 mm – 6xØ cable.

Application and compliance with standards

The cable meets the requirements of standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31/UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. It also has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals. It is also compliant with LVD Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Cables with a cross-section up to 35 mm² have DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 approval. Cross-sections above this value are made of heat-resistant PVC type TI3 (from 50 mm² to 150 mm² type H07V-K). The cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation in accordance with standards DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1 and CSA FT1. The materials used in production do not contain silicone or cadmium and do not hinder painting.
