Meets many norms and standards
The cable has been designed to comply with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. This gives it a wide range of applications and acceptance in various markets. It has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals. This not only makes it easier to select the right cable for a specific project, but also allows you to reduce the number of items in stock.
Construction and user parameters
The cable is characterized by a cross-section of 0.75 mm² (AWG 20) and is made of multi-strand copper wire class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758). The PVC insulation type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H) provides good electrical insulation and mechanical protection. The black-orange color makes it easier to identify the cores in the installation. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from +5°C to +90°C (flexible) or from -40°C to +90°C (stationary), and in the case of UL approvals (AWM) even up to +105°C and UL (MTW) up to +90°C and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500V for H05V2-K and correspondingly higher values for UL and CSA approvals - up to 1250V DC (UL AWM). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter - for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x cable diameter, above 8 mm - respectively 5x or 6x cable diameter. The test voltage is from 2kV to 6kV depending on the core cross-section. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The cable also has approval for flame propagation resistance according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.
