This brown single-core PVC cable, designated FIVENORM H05V2-K 0.75/AWG20, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. It is suitable for both industrial installations and electrical appliances. Construction and properties
The cable is designed for reliability and flexibility. Made of a multi-strand copper conductor class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758), covered with TI3 type PVC insulation (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3, UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H). This combination of materials ensures good flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +90°C for stationary operation, and even up to +105°C for UL approvals (AWM). The rated voltage is 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²) or 450/750 V (≥ 1.5 mm²), and the test voltage ranges from 2 kV to 6 kV depending on the cross-section. The minimum bending radius is adapted to the cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
Compliance with standards and versatility
A key feature of this cable is its compliance with five standards: DIN VDE, DIN EN, UL and CSA. This means it meets the stringent quality and safety requirements applicable in different markets. HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals allow for economical inventory management and simplification of the bill of materials – one cable can be used in many applications without the need to have many different types of cables. Additionally, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting. The cable has passed flame propagation tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1).
