Universal connection cable – five standards in one

This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 0.75/AWG20, is a versatile solution for internal wiring. Application and compliance with standards

This cable is designed for a wide range of applications – from wiring distribution boards to internal connections in electrical devices, including machine tools. Its key feature is compliance with as many as five standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (also Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Such approvals facilitate export and simplify inventory management – one cable meets the requirements of many markets. This allows for economical storage and reduction of the parts list.

Construction and operational properties

The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor, class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special PVC type TI3 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H). This ensures flexibility and reliability of connections. The operating temperature range is wide – from +5°C to +90°C for flexible operation and from -40°C to +90°C for stationary operation (according to UL AWM standards up to +105°C and CSA TEW up to +105°C). The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²) and the test voltage reaches up to 6kV depending on the cross-section. The cable has passed tests for flame propagation resistance (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1). The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting. The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm – accordingly 5x or 6x the cable diameter.
