Universal connection cable for a wide range of applications

This flexible single-core cable with PVC insulation is a versatile solution for both professional installers and end-users. It is ideal for internal wiring of distribution boards, electrical devices, and machine tools. Its construction and approvals allow for economical storage and simplification of the parts list. The cable is designed for export applications, meeting the requirements of five standards.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a multi-strand copper conductor class 5, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. The insulation made of PVC type TI3 guarantees good protection against damage and external factors. The cable is available in black color, and its outer diameter is approximately 3 mm with a cross-section of 1 mm². The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V / 500 V, respectively, making it safe in many applications.

Application and compliance with standards

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (and Style 1015) as well as CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. It has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals. It can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C (flexibly up to +90°C and stationary up to +90°C; UL AWM up to +105°C). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter below 8 mm it is 4x cable diameter, above 8 mm – 5x or 6x cable diameter, respectively. The cable has passed tests for vertical flame propagation resistance according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1-2 / UL VW-1 and CSA FT1 standards.
