This single-core PVC cable, designated as H05V2-K 1/AWG18, is a versatile solution for internal electrical installations. Compliance with standards and wide application
The cable is distinguished by a unique feature – it meets as many as five different standards: DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31, DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063, UL-Style 10269 (as well as Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B. Such broad compliance with technical regulations opens the way to its use in a variety of applications, including export ones. Thanks to HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals, it simplifies the bill of materials and allows for economical inventory management.
Construction and user parameters
The cable has a multi-strand copper conductor, class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special TI3 PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and UL-Std. 1581, CSA-C 22.2 No. 210 Tab. 12 Class H). Its black-orange color makes it easy to identify. The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from +5°C to +90°C (flexible and stationary), and in the case of UL approvals (AWM) even up to +105°C and UL (MTW) up to +90°C and CSA (TEW) up to +105°C. The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²), and the test voltage is 2000V (depending on the cross-section – from 5 kV to 6 kV). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter and ranges from 4xØ to 6xØ of the cable. Made of materials that do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting. The cable has an approval for flame retardancy according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1 and CSA FT1.
