Universal connection cable – five standards in one

Application and compliance with standards

This cable has been designed with versatility in mind. Thanks to compliance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31/DIN EN 50525-2-31, UL-Std.1063/UL-Style 10269 (also Style 1015) and CSA-TEW and CSA-AWM I A/B, it can be used without worry in various countries and industries. It has HAR, UL-AWM, UL-MTW, CSA-AWM and CSA-Equipment-wire approvals – which significantly simplifies inventory and parts list management. This is particularly important for larger projects and exports.

Construction and operating parameters

The cable is made of stranded copper wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228/UL Std. 758) insulated with special TI3 PVC (according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3 and class 43 according to UL-Std. 1581). The outer diameter of the cable is 2.8 mm with a cross-section of 1 mm² (AWG 18). The operating voltage is 300/500V (up to 1 mm²) and the operating temperature range is flexibly from +5°C to +90°C and stationary from -40°C to +90°C. The cable is flame retardant (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/ DIN EN 60332-1- 2/IEC 60332-1-2/ UL VW-1, CSA FT1). The minimum bending radius depends on the cable diameter – for cables with a diameter of less than or equal to 8 mm it is 4x the cable diameter, above 8 mm to 12 mm - 5x the cable diameter and above 12 mm - 6x the cable diameter. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting.
